Person-Centred Counselling in Nottingham and Online Across the UK

A calm, confidential space to explore what is happening for you - at your pace, without judgement.

I offer Person-Centred counselling and mindfulness support, with in-person sessions in Nottingham and secure online counselling across the UK.

You Do Not Have to Face Everything Alone

When life feels overwhelming, confusing or heavy, it can help to have time and space that is entirely focused on you. You may be living with anxiety, stress, low mood, grief, low self-esteem, difficult relationships or experiences from the past. You may simply feel stuck and unsure where to begin.

Person-centred counselling offers a supportive, non-judgemental space to talk openly about what matters to you. Rather than being told what to do, you will be listened to with empathy and respect, so you can better understand your thoughts, feelings and experiences in your own way.

At Acceptance is Key, I provide confidential online Person-Centred counselling from my home office in Nottingham, as well as confidential in-person counselling in Nottingham city centre. Our work together can provide space to explore what you're experiencing, understand yourself more deeply and support your personal growth.

Person-Centred Counselling in Nottingham and Online
Supportive Person-Centered Therapy

As an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), I work primarily from a Person-Centred approach. My approach is tailored to you and your individual experience, creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.

Counselling and Mindfulness Support Tailored to You

I offer Person-Centred counselling alongside mindfulness support and mindfulness-informed therapy, depending on what you are looking for and what feels right for you.

Person-Centred Counselling

A talking therapy that gives you space to explore your feelings, experiences and challenges in a safe, accepting environment. Sessions are led by what feels important to you.

A talking therapy that incorporates mindfulness, breathing and meditation techniques alongside the therapeutic work. This can be particularly helpful when exploring anxiety, stress and difficult life experiences, while developing practical tools to support you between sessions.

Support in the Way That Works for You

I offer sessions in two ways:

Online: secure video sessions available across the UK

In person: Face-to-face sessions in Nottingham city centre.

Whether you choose online or in-person counselling, you will receive the same confidential, Person-Centred support. We can discuss which option feels most comfortable for you when you enquire.

Areas I Can Support You With Include

- Anxiety and panic

- Stress and burnout

- Depression and low mood

- Bereavement and loss

- Trauma and difficult experiences

- Low self-esteem

- Relationship difficulties

- Life changes and feeling stuck

These are some of the issues I can support you with, but everyone's circumstances are different. If you're struggling with something that isn't listed above, you're welcome to get in touch and we can discuss whether counselling could be right for you.

A Therapeutic Relationship Built on Acceptance

My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy: the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I will work alongside you with empathy, honesty and acceptance, without pressure to be or feel a certain way.

Counselling is not about having all the answers straight away. It is a place to pause, make sense of what you are going through and find a way forward that feels true to you.

At Acceptance Is Key, I aim to offer a calm and compassionate space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.

I am a qualified CPCAB counsellor in person-centred therapy and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

I have also undertaken continuing professional development and hold diplomas in mindfulness, mindfulness teaching, Buddhism, breathwork and meditation.

Every enquiry and session is treated with care and confidentiality.

Where I Can Offer Counselling

I currently offer counselling to clients who are based in the UK. Due to my professional insurance and my responsibilities around confidentiality and ethical practice, I’m unable to work with clients who are located outside the UK.

I therefore ask clients to confirm that they are currently based in the UK before arranging counselling sessions. Thank you for your understanding.

My Personal Journey

In 2017, I experienced crippling anxiety and panic attacks that continued for several years. Through therapy, mindfulness, meditation, Qi Gong and breathing practices, I gradually began to understand myself and find a way forward.

My own experiences led me to explore mindfulness, Buddhism, breathwork and, ultimately, Person-Centred Therapy. It was through the Person-Centred approach that I discovered how powerful acceptance can be in understanding ourselves, our emotions and our experiences.

This journey ultimately led me to become a counsellor. Today, I love helping others explore what they are experiencing and find greater acceptance of themselves and their lives.

The name Acceptance is Key reflects this belief. Acceptance is an important part of both Buddhist philosophy and the Person-Centred approach, and is central to the way I work with clients.
